Close to Guadix you will find Negratin reservoir. There you are able to practice fishing, canoeing, etc...As well, there is a beautiful landscape of the nearby mountains. Local parties:
- Guadix mayor parties: variable date between the end of August and the beginning of September.
- Cascamorras: 9th of September. It is considered to be a National Interest party.
- Saint Torcuato Festival: 15th of May. Apart from the traditional procession of Saint Torcuato, simultaneously there is a Rock Festival called “Katillo Rock” in which unknown local rock bands make a concert together with famous groups like Sugarless, Molotov, Elecktra, Coilbox and Hora Zulu...
- Virgin of Anguish Festival: the first weekend of November people descend the Virgin of Anguish from her temple to the Cathedral and the second weekend there is a Procession for bringing the Virgin back from the Cathedral to her temple.
